My name is Melanie Sanderson. I was born in Memphis, TN yet I grew up in Mississippi and attended Northeast MS Community College. Over the years I have lived in Daytona Beach, Florida where I took flight lessons and attended Embry Riddle Aeronautical University and then I got married and lived in Amarillo, TX. It was in Amarillo that I graduated from West Texas A&M University with a Bachelors in Interdisciplinary Studies (Early Childhood and Elementary Education). My husband, Paul, is an electrical engineer and we came to Huntsville in 2006. I worked in private preschools in the area for a few years and then decided to stay home with our two kids, Luke and Molly. Last year, I served as the President of LFES PTA and as a substitute teacher. I really loved being back in the classroom so this year with our youngest child starting Kindergarten, I decided it was time to get back in a classroom full-time. I serve as the Auxiliary Aide to Ms. Williams in our Pre K classroom.
